The substrate part also belongs to the STN type. Common display modes include black characters on reflective white background, and black on white background. Black text on a translucent white background and white text on a fully transparent black background. The white text on a fully transparent black background can only be guaranteed by a dual-compensation polarizer to ensure its darker background. It is called DFSTN in the industry, such as ordinary FSTN negative.
